There is no alternate routes in this life unless we willingly decide to choose them.Jeremiah 1:5 says "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”
This means that even before you were born, God set you apart and made you like him in complete fullness. He called you and gave you delegated authority to summon, mention, and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ. This perfection was destroyed through the fall of adam and eve. This one sin of all time distorted the view of our identity and who God originally called us to be. Thoughts of inadequacy, perfectionalism, fear, doubt, worry, all stem and can be traced back our descendants Adam and Eve. You may ask what does this have to with taking an alternate route.
Well, its simple! The serpent also known as the devil came in and saw fit to persuade them to partake of something God forbid to protect them. The issue is that they didnt feel like they measured up or were adequate enough to fulfill the call upon their life. We see this in Genesis Chapter 3 how the fall brought on many consequences. How many times have we sought to do things are own way and as a result it takes us backwards then what we originally started. God told you not to do this and we act accordingly to our flesh and suffer the consequences.
Alot of the warfare we experience is out of disobedience. Immediately after partaking of the fruit, worry, doubt, and confusion came in. Instead of looking to the Father, they chose and alternate route that brought chaos. How many times do we try to figure out things for ourselves without the holyspirit? In return, we are left stressed out and overwhelmed. This was a test to see if they would remain obedient to God. There are many of you who have tried to go ahead of God. Many of you who want control yet you have not even learned your position.
What happens when God doesnt intervene? What happens when he doesnt coming in your timing? Have you allowed disappointment to distort your view of our all sovereign God? Have you allowed your flesh to rule you instead of allowing the Holy Spirit to lead your path? Often times, we choose alternate routes it results in sin, death, hell or destruction. The crazy thing is our way in a situation may seem very logic yet we are still operating in error.
When we choose to go our own way, we fall into crack of pride. “Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. It is better to be of a lowly spirit with the poor than to divide the spoil with the proud.”
(Proverbs 16:18-19 ). You simply can not remain humble if you choose rebellion. When you chose another route, you also are at risk of losing your covering. This is because where Jesus inhabits or dwells, darkness and light can not dwell together.

What happens when we seek first his kingdom his welfare, well-being, plans, and righteousness( to be right with God)? You are at a greater reward and everything that belongs to you as a co-heir is released to you. Let me ask you this: How far have you gotten with your own way? Dont you desire more for your life?

There are no alternate routes with Jesus. He is the Way to living a victorious walk, He is the truth, wisdom and knowledge we are search for. He is the our everlasting Father and through him we have eternal life.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, I repent for trying to do things in my own way or strength. I come humbly before your throne of grace and ask that you would forgive me and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. I repent for rebelling against your way and choosing worry and doubt as my idol. Lord your ways are better than my ways. Your thoughts are higher than my thoughts. I choose to wait on you in this season because I care about your wellbeing more than my own. I surrender to your will and whatever you have me to do it shall be done. I know that when chase after you dilligently, greater is my reward in heaven. Order my steps in this season that I would be on the narrow path that leads to everlasting life in you. Lord I ask you to show me anytime I try to take control or get ahead of you. In Jesus name Amen!
